This is the large, 550-point version of the Colossal Cave Adventure. Colossal Cave Adventure is a classic — practically the first of the text-adventure genre. The interface is not very “Mac-like” but don’t let that stop you! This is an excellent adventure and also a taste of history.
 
This is a port of one of the original text adventures written for the computer. I have included it because I have a fondness for text adventures and this will give computer game players a good example as to where the roots of adventure games. If you are really looking for a great text adventure game look for the freeware version of Zork, reviewed elsewhere in this magazine. Adventure is a game that you must look at to bring back the days of yesteryear when the graphics where everything that your mind could conjure up. I highly recommend it.
